Jim Ganthier is a global technology executive with more than 20 years of experience delivering business results in multi-national technology, products and solutions companies and is the recipient of 14 US patents. At Dell, Jim is the SVP for Customer Solutions Strategy and Advocacy and has global responsibility for articulating, and empowering our solutions field teams and partners to confidently tell and sell the Dell Technologies “Better Together” value proposition, backed by integrated and differentiated solutions that both enable and accelerate our customers’ digital transformation journey. Reporting directly to Dell’s Chief Customer Officer, Jim is also responsible for translating field and customer feedback into actionable insights that enhance both the customer experience and our customer solutions and offers.

Prior to his CCO role, Jim served as the SVP and General Manager of the Validated Solutions and High Performance Computing Organization. During that time, he grew the Validated Solutions & HPC organization solutions into greater than $1Billion in revenues and achieved the #1 HPC Systems vendor market share position. Jim also served as Dell’s Vice President and General Manager for Dell’s Engineered Solutions and Cloud Business where he drove Dell’s engineering and development of integrated cross-platform solutions as well as the global pan-Dell strategy and results for cloud solutions.

Prior to joining Dell two years ago, Jim held and led general manager, marketing, engineering, strategy and operations roles, in various vice president positions in the enterprise group at HP. He also served as Vice President of Worldwide Government Solutions, where he developed the strategy and solutions offerings for Homeland Defense, Intelligence and civilian agencies, and was one of the founding leaders of Compaq’s Presario and IPAQ product lines. 

Jim holds a bachelor of science in industrial and systems engineering, with a minor in production and operations management from Florida International University. He also holds a master of business administration from Florida Atlantic University, and has taken executive leadership courses at Harvard University. He is a recipient of the HPCwire 2016 “People to Watch” Award, a B.E.Y. special recognition awardee and is the recipient of 14 US patents (with several pending).
